List of New Items and Changes

As some of your may have noticed, I haven’t updated my “What’s New?” section in a while (although I have added content to the web site). To list a few recent additions:

  • I added a link to Van Hale’s radio talk show under my “Multimedia” section.
    • I added a graphic to the FAIR bookstore (great deals on books!).
  • I added a note that MormonFortress.com was listed among the “Twenty Favorite Website” in Drew Williams newly published The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Understanding Mormonism.

    • These are just a few of the many recent minor changes to the site.

  • Added a link to my article at the F.A.I.R. website entitled “Does Mormonism Attack Christianity?” (pdf). This link can be found at the Criticism Studies section under Early LDS History.

  • Added two new articles to the “Mormon Myths” section. The articles Miracles and Fiery Serpents can be found under the main heading Science and the sub-heading Miracles.

  • Thanks to the help of Errol V. Amey, I updated dozens of broken links, out-of-date-links, and added several links to OSA articles in my Criticism Studies. Errol-- a young convert to the Church-- has been extremely helpful in finding such broken links and emailing me the updates. It appears that his assistance will continue in the future. Thanks Errol!

  • Add an article entitled, “Declaring the ‘Word of God’” to my site. Because this topic is related to many issues it is linked in several locations. It can be found under the Criticism Studies topics of “Official” LDS Doctrine or Prophets- fallible, as well as under my new Mormon Myths page under Doctrinal, Conference Talks are “Official Doctrine”, and Leaders are Infallible.

  • Added an a link to an article refuting the charge that Latter-day Saints are/have been racist. The link can be found in my Criticism Studies, under Early LDS History, then under the sub-category of Blacks and the Priesthood, and finally under Racism.

    I’ve also updated my Who’s Who in LDS Apologetics Page.

  • Added an article (originally presented at the FAIR 2000 Apologetics Conference) on the history of the Word of Wisdom. The article can be found on my Criticisms Studies page under several headings: Doctrinal; Joseph Smith; and Brigham Young.

  • Added some more apologetes to my Apologeez page (LDS Apologetics Glossary of terminology).
  • Added an article by my friend Kevin C. Hill, entitled, “Breaking Down Barriers or Building Them Up?” This paper addresses the authorship and authority (or lack of authority) of the Lectures on Faith, as well as the charge that Joseph Smith originally preached a God which was similar to Protestant views of God, then changed, or evolved, his view of God in his later sermons.
  • Added print buttons to on-line articles. You can now print the (copyrighted) papers with the click of one button.

  • New “Look & Feel” to the web site. Add a “Fun Stuff” page with graphics, audio options, and some humor.

  • Added a new search engine to my web site. Now you can find any topic by entering a key word or phrase.
  • Added a new page entitled “Who’s Who on the ‘Web’ in regards to Mormon Apologetics.” This is a “Cast of Characters” page which lists the most prominent LDS Apologists and Anti-Mormons on the Web as well as some comments, some of their published materials, web activity, etc. I’ also included several non-web-active LDS Apologists who are contributors to LDS Apologetics.

  • Added a copy of a true letter of an anti-Mormon who converted to Mormonism. This can be found in my Criticism pages.
  • Added an article on the Nephi/Moroni mixup on my Criticism of LDS History page. This article was guest authored by Elden Watson with comments by D. Charles Pyle.
  • Added a link to Zion’s Lighthouse Outreach Message Board: Reaching out to Those Misled by the Deceit of Anti-Mormonism

    Due to the means by which my web address is handled, if you want to “bookmark” to any of my page, use the right mouse click and select “add to favorites,” rather than selecting “add to favorites” from the tool bar at the top of your browser.
