My name is Mike Ash and this is the Mormon Fortress. I’m LDS (“Mormon”)-- have been all my life-- and I’ve made an attempt of sharing some of the interesting LDS studies I’ve found. I should point out right away that this site does not attempt to prove anything-- I believe that spiritual things must be spiritually discerned. The purpose of this website is to demonstrate that the claims of the LDS church are rational, plausible, and defendable. In addition to providing links to these interesting LDS studies, webpages, etc., this site attempts to refute those who are critical of my religion. The term for such endeavors is known as “apologetics” (from the Greek apologetikos or apologeisthai-- to defend oneself verbally). There are numerous people, publishers, organizations, and websites who make hostile charges against the LDS faith. This website attempts to answer such objections or direct the viewer to other websites which answer such objections.
